Jennifer Tilly was conceived in Los Angeles on 16 September 1958 in very poor circumstances. Her mother was an unsuccessful schoolteacher and actor, made a living selling automobiles, while her father worked as an automobile salesman. Jennifer was the second child of four, frequently attended theater performances by her mother, and was impressed. Jennifer's mother and father separated at age five. Jennifer lived the majority of her life within British Columbia when her mother was able to move there with four kids. Jennifer was not able to get an excellent education, despite being a gifted kid. When she was a kid Jennifer often became the victim of bullying in schools across Canada. Theater was her first passion, but it diminished during the time she was in high school, and as a result she took part in theater by herself with help from her mother. All of her children were motivated by their mothers to pursue a love of art. She then immediately started to act.
